Solutions to Plant-Specific Problems

NuVision Engineering offers analytical services to examine the mechanical life expectancy or degradation of components. These analytical techniques are based on finite element methods and address items such as fatigue and fracture mechanics.

Structural Qualification    

NuVision Engineering has performed structural evaluations in accordance with ASD, ANSI/AISC N690 and/or ASME Section III, subsection NF, for normal, upset and faulted operating conditions.

The ANSYS models above are composed of several components which consist of the vertical duct, coupling #1, transition duct, coupling #2, plenum assembly and missile shield.

Safety Injection Nozzle Qualification

A finite element evaluation of the structure was performed using the ANSYS code. A complete ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code evaluation was performed for a customer, including the delivery of a stress report. The image of the finite element model is shown below.
